A collection of upcycled knit sweaters, tops, shawls and dresses. A special part of the line is reconstructed T-shirts made from thrift store throwaways. A genuinely sweat shop free, eco-friendly, upcycled boutique line of contemporary designs.

Buy and help others at the same time why deny yourself the pleasure?

For each upcycled T-shirt purchased $20 will go to World ORT helping educate children in South Africa. Every T has a unique hand made brooch based on traditional South African designs. All the pins are made from a community in Johannesburg, South Africa. The company, Uhambo Creations, focuses on creating jobs through active marketing of hand made products passed to a growing network of women.

Drinks & hors d'oeuvers will be served.

Meet Kristy Simmons, designer of Je Ne Regrette Rien (JNRR) and get a close-up look at her line of swim cover-ups from the Urban Splash runway. Enjoy a selection of artisan cheeses and wine. Kristy will share her story about the origins of Je Ne Regrette Rien (French for I Do Not Regret Anything) and what it means to her, as well as the narrative behind the rare, African printed fabrics of the cover-ups and beach totes.

Check out the Summer 2010 Collection by local designer of Tekno Doll Swimwear, Jolene Danielson. She is inspired by modern art, and there are hand-painted pieces in her collection with abstract splashes of color. Her signature mark is hand-beading details, using coral, turquoise & shells.

JNRR (Je Ne Regrette Rien) is debuting a line of swim coverups featuring authentic African printed cotton textiles. Designer Kristy Simmons's great aunt had acquired them while serving many years as a missionary in Cameroon.

When it's Fashion Week in Minneapolis, the hustle and bustle are all very fun but can also be overwhelming. Where's the perfect place to relax and take in some fresh Minneapolis fashion? Come to Design Collective where Calpurnia Peach, Max Lohrbach, Allison Quinnell, and 2709 will be meeting and greeting while you wine and dine on mimosas and hors d'oeuvres. Have the opportunity to see the Voltage collections up close and indulge in all of those wonderful details lost on the runway. Additional garments and accessories will be available, as well as one on ones with the designers to take measurements for custom garments as seen on the runway. Don't miss out on the perfect end to an awesome week of fashion!

Come join us at Design Collective for some clothing that will blow your mind and enjoy some afternoon cocktails and sunshine. Grayline Clothing will be debuting its Spring Collection featuring women's and men's screen-printed garments inspired by nature, patterns, early 1900s art nouveau, and childhood fascinations. Also, check out the limited edition menswear worn by local band Mercurial Rage in Voltage.

Check out some fresh accessories by our new designers Third Willow and Designs by K. Cayetano.
