Designer Frances Zerr bases her collections on clean lines, natural fabrics and hand craftsmanship. An inspired mixture of handwork and a modern aesthetic sensibility, her work is an attempt to overcome the contradiction between fashion and sustainability at its core. In a time when endless trend and mass-produced fashion satiates the market and our wardrobes, Zerr's collections venture to satisfy the forward-thinking woman's need for go-to clothing that she can depend on to be her most confident self. Her clothing is wear-to-death-able, individual and meticulously created. Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Frances Zerr studied art history at the University of Minnesota where she received a bachelors degree in 2008. After this she acquired a post-graduate fashion studies degree from Parsons the New School for Design in New York. Her collections are based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota where she lives and works. When not in her studio, Zerr enjoys supporting and enjoying the local art community.
